Seven simple CRMs for small business and their entry prices
A simple CRM for a small business should store contacts, show the history with each one and remind you to follow up, without a long setup. Less Annoying CRM, Bigin and HubSpot's free CRM are the three we would look at first, for different reasons: one fixed price, the lowest paid price, and a free tier. All prices below were read on each vendor's own page on 3 October 2026 and can change.
| Product | Entry paid price | Free tier | Best at | One limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Less Annoying CRM | $15, monthly or annual | None. 30-day trial | One plan with everything included and free phone support | No built-in bulk email |
| HubSpot CRM | Starter list price $20 per seat | Yes, 2 users and 1,000 contacts | A free tier with no expiry | Professional jumps to $50 per seat |
| Zoho CRM | Standard $14 billed annually, $20 monthly | Yes, 3 users | Automation and mass email at a low annual price | Five editions to choose between |
| Bigin by Zoho | Express $7 billed yearly, $9 monthly | Yes, 1 user and 500 records | Lowest paid price in this table | 50,000 record cap on Express |
| Copper | Basic $23 billed annually, $29 monthly | None stated. Free trial | Pipelines with task automation | 2,500 contact limit on Basic |
| folk | Standard $24 billed yearly, $30 monthly | None. 2-week trial | Contact lists with email campaigns | Account is blocked after the trial unless you upgrade |
| Insightly | Plus $29, billed annually | None stated. 14-day trial | CRM with project management | Annual billing on the listed price |
HubSpot's own pages show different Starter prices. Its catalog and Starter page give $20 as the list price, its CRM page shows $15 as a new-customer discount, and the Starter page shows $7 on an annual commitment or $10 month to month for a limited time. The table uses the list price. Zoho's dollar prices are from its plan comparison page, because its main pricing page served rupees in the text read.
What three users cost over 12 months
| Product and plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Bigin Express | $252 | $324 |
| Zoho CRM Standard | $504 | $720 |
| Less Annoying CRM | $540 | $540 |
| HubSpot Starter, list price | Not confirmed | $720 |
| Copper Basic | $828 | $1,044 |
| folk Standard | $864 | $1,080 |
| Insightly Plus | $1,044 | Not listed |
On monthly billing at these list prices, Less Annoying CRM is the second lowest of the six that show a monthly price, after Bigin. HubSpot's new-customer offers would put Starter at or below it while they last, so do not treat that ranking as settled. On annual billing, Zoho CRM Standard also comes in below it, by $36 for three users. Zoho CRM's free edition covers three users at $0, and HubSpot's free tier covers two. What makes a CRM simple, in checkable terms
"Simple" is easy to claim, so here are things you can check on a pricing page.
- Number of plans. Less Annoying CRM has one. The others have three or more.
- Limits to watch. Copper Basic caps contacts at 2,500. Bigin caps records. HubSpot's free tier caps contacts at 1,000.
- Billing basis. A price shown per month may only apply if you pay for a year. Five of the seven quote a lower annual figure or annual billing only.
- What happens after the trial. Bigin moves you to its free plan. folk blocks the account. Less Annoying CRM's trial closes on its own if you do not subscribe.
Where Less Annoying CRM fits and where it does not
Less Annoying CRM fits a small team that wants contacts, tasks, a shared calendar, email logging and pipelines at one price, on monthly billing, with phone support. It has no tier decisions and no stated contact cap below its 50,000 guideline. Read what Less Annoying CRM is for the feature list.
It does not fit a team that wants to send newsletters from inside the CRM, since the vendor says it does not send bulk email itself. Zoho CRM Standard lists mass email, and folk Standard lists email campaigns. It also does not fit a team with no budget at all, where HubSpot's or Zoho's free tier is the honest answer.
A pick for each kind of small business
- Solo owner, lowest cost: Bigin Free up to 500 records, then Bigin Express.
- Two people, no budget: HubSpot's free CRM under 1,000 contacts.
- Three to five people who want one plan and phone support: Less Annoying CRM.
- Team that wants automation and will pay annually: Zoho CRM Standard.
- Team that runs client projects from the CRM: Insightly Plus or Copper Basic.
- Nonprofit, not a business: see our CRM guide for small nonprofits.
