Is Less Annoying CRM free? Only during the 30-day trial

No. Less Annoying CRM has no free plan. What it offers is a 30-day trial of the full product with no credit card needed and, according to the help center, no feature limits. Support is available during the trial as well.

If you enter a card during the trial, the first charge is taken when the trial ends. If you do nothing, the help center says the trial closes on its own. The terms of service add that an account without a payment method enters a short grace period and can then be archived or deleted. Annual billing and nonprofit discounts: what the help center says

Billing is month to month by default. You can choose to pay annually, but the payment methods article says there is no discount for doing so. No annual price is printed on the pricing page; by our arithmetic, twelve months at $15 comes to $180 per user either way. Payment by check is offered in the US only and only on annual billing.

There is no nonprofit discount. The help center has an article on discounts whose short answer is no: the company says it offers none, for volume, prepayment or anything else, and that every customer gets the same price. The vendor's own nonprofit page quotes the same $15 per user per month. The terms also say prices can change with 30 days' notice.

Worked cost example for a volunteer program with three coordinators

You pay for people who log in. Volunteers, donors and partner contacts are records, and records are not charged. A program with three coordinators and 900 volunteer records pays for three users.

If a fourth coordinator joins mid-month, the terms say the extra user is charged pro rata for the rest of that billing period. Removing a user creates a pro rata credit that is applied to the next payment, not paid back. So decide who really needs a login before adding seats.

Cancellation, refunds and what happens to your data

The terms of service say each period is billed in advance and that a payment, once made, is not refundable in whole or in part. That matters most on annual billing: if you prepay a year and stop after three months, the terms give you no refund for the other nine.

Only the account owner can cancel, from Settings, then Close account. The terms state that an email or phone call does not count as cancellation. Warning: closing the account takes effect immediately. Export your data first. The help center says closed accounts are archived for one year and then deleted for good. A gentler route is to cancel the subscription on the Billing settings page, which lets the account run to the next billing date before it is archived. Who the flat $15 price suits and who should pick something else

The price suits a small team of one to three coordinators who need contact records, notes and follow-up reminders, and who want to leave at any month end.
